OxyCalc
How long will the cylinder or LOX tank last at a given flow? Calculators for gas cylinders (GOX) and liquid oxygen (LOX), plus printable runtime tables.
Gas cylinder – remaining volume & runtime

Note: For patient safety, always allow a safety reserve – e.g. subtract 10–15 % or assume a minimum pressure of 50 bar.
LOX tank – gas volume & runtime
LOX · liquid oxygen
Gas volume (gaseous)–

Note: Always plan a reserve.
1 litre of liquid oxygen (LOX) corresponds to approx. 860 litres of gaseous O₂ at normal pressure (1 atm) and 20 °C.
During longer idle periods, evaporation causes losses – the available gas volume drops even without withdrawal.

What is LOX?
LOX (liquefied oxygen) is cryogenic liquid oxygen stored at approx. –183 °C. It is often used in home ventilation or clinical settings when large amounts of O₂ are needed. On evaporation the liquid expands to about 860 times its volume. It requires special tanks and precautions, as heat uptake can cause pressure build-up and venting even when not in use.
